98KUPD ‘Road To Mayhem’ Harley Davidson Motorcycle

1.  How to Enter the Contest:

  a.  Eighty Four (84) semi-finalists will be determined via 1 method:

 

1) Enter on-air: Listeners must tune into 98KUPD from 6/7/10 thru 7/15/10.  3 times daily, once each hour, at 7am, 11am and 3pm when prompted by the on-air personality, listeners have 9 minutes and 80 seconds to text the key word ‘Mayhem’ to the radio station’s short code ‘97936’.  At the conclusion of the 9 minutes and 80 seconds a random number will be chosen from those that successfully text in to qualify.  If the number called at that time does not pick up or goes to voice mail another number will be called.  Once a number has been reached, if they meet all the parameters of the Official Contest Rules, they receive two (2) general admission tickets for the 2010 Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival at the Cricket Pavilion Friday, July 16th and qualify to win the grand prize. .  Each winner is required to provide his/her first and last name, complete address, city, state, zip code, telephone number and date of birth when he/she is called. A total of eighty four (84) semi-finalists will be determined via text message entry.  There is no limit to the number of times a listener may attempt to text in the on-air contest procedure, but only one (1) qualifier per household is permitted.  Entrants may be disqualified at the sole discretion of the station.  Message and Data Rates May apply. 

 

2.  Eligibility Restrictions:

 

a. The contest is open to all 98KUPD listeners who are legal residents of Arizona 18 years of age or older on or before June 7th, 2010.  Employees of  98KUPD, their subsidiaries, affiliated entities, affiliated advertising agencies, and the members of their immediate families are ineligible to participate or win.  Immediate family shall include spouse, parents, children, siblings, grandparents, grandchildren and any other person residing within the same household. Void where prohibited.

 

b. Not all tickets given away by 98KUPD Radio during this campaign period for the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival will be considered for this contest.  Various giveaways will be conducted in support of the event.  Qualifying for the 98KUPD ‘Road To Mayhem’ contest will be identified as such during the contesting.   

 

c. Participants in the contest must possess valid government-issued photo identification and meet all other eligibility conditions set forth in these rules.

 

d. Winners will be required to sign a Liability Release as a condition of receiving a prize in this contest.

 

e. If a qualifier is unable to attend a proxy may be assigned by contacting the 98KUPD Promotions Department at 480.838.0400 by 5pm on Thursday, July 15th.  If no proxy is assigned and the qualifier does not attend they will relinquish their eligibility and be removed from the grand prize contest.

 

f. Winners will be required to furnish 2 positive legal proofs of identification including a valid state identification card or drivers license and a social security card.     

 

3.   Prizes:

 

a. There will be a total of eighty-four (84) semi-finalist prizes.  Semi-finalist prizes include two (2) general admission tickets to the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival Friday, July 16th, 2010.  Semi-finalist prizes may be claimed at the 98KUPD offices Monday through Friday, 8:30am-5pm.  ARV=$61 plus applicable service fees.

b. There will be a total of five (5) finalist.  Finalist have the opportunity to participate in the grand prize event on-stage with Five Finger Death Punch that will determine the grand prize winner.  

c. There will be one (1) grand prize.  The grand prize includes a 2010 FXDF Fat Bob Harley-Davidson motorcycle.  ARV=$15,369.  VIN# 1HD1GY411AC311453.  The grand prize winner will not claim their motorcycle at the event.  Instead they will be given directions by 98KUPD on where and how to pick up the prize.

 

4. Selection of Winners:

 

a.   Decisions of 98KUPD with respect to the contest are final.

 

b.   On 7/16/10, at a time to be determined, at the Cricket Pavilion 98KUPD will conduct a reverse drawing to reduce the eighty-four (84) semi-finalists down to five (5) finalists. KUPD will determine the finalists by drawing one (1) entry at random at a time, until there are only five (5) entries remaining. Those remaining entries will be deemed the five (5) finalists.

 

c.   On 7/16/10 during the show (approximately 6pm) on the main stage, the final five (5) finalists/qualifiers  will each participate in the grand prize contest TBD.  One (1) finalist will be deemed the grand prize winner and the Contest will be considered over.

 

d. Odds of becoming a semi-finalist depend upon the total number of text message entries sent to 98KUPD in the contest period.  Odds of a semi-finalist winning in the reverse drawing on 7/16/10 to become a finalist are 5 in 84.  Odds of a finalist winning the grand prize are 1 in 5.

 

5.  Conditions:

 

a. Contest prizes are not transferable. Prizes may not be substituted for or redeemed for cash.

 

b. Grand Prize winner will be responsible for Tax, License, Title and Doc Fees.

 

c. Grand Prize winner will receive 1099 IRS Tax form from 98KUPD for the value of the grand prize as stated in these contest rules.

 

d. Prizes are limited solely to those items explicitly set forth herein and shall not include any and all other expenses, incidentals or taxes that may arise out of the winner’s receipt of this prize.

 

e. Prizes will be awarded as is, with no written or express warranty.

 

f. Winners are responsible for personal items, additional transportation and miscellaneous out of pocket expenses involved with participation in the contest.

 

g. 98KUPD reserves the right to substitute a prize of greater or equal value at its sole discretion.

 

h. Photo identification and social security number of the Grand Prize winner may also be required in order to collect the prize.  Payment of all federal, state and local taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner.  Winners will be required to sign an IRS Form W-9 or the equivalent.  Winner will receive a 1099 for the value of the prize as stated in these contest rules. 

 

i. By participating in the contest, the winner or winners (and their guest or traveling companion, if applicable) agree to have their name, voice, or likeness used in any advertising or broadcasting material relating to this contest without additional financial or other compensation, and to sign a publicity release prior to acceptance of the prize.

 

j. 98KUPD reserves the right in its sole discretion to modify the contest rules and dates at any time for any reason.  Material modifications shall be announced on-air, when practical. By participating in this contest, you agree to be bound by these contest rules, any modifications thereof, and by all other rules imposed by 98KUPD management.  If due to circumstances beyond the control of 98KUPD, any event associated with this contest or the prize is delayed, rescheduled, postponed or cancelled, 98KUPD reserves the right, but not the obligation, to cancel or modify the contest and shall not be required to award a substitute prize.

 

k. Failure to comply with the contest rules may result in a contestant's disqualification, at the sole discretion of 98KUPD.

 

l. 98KUPD is not responsible for typographical or other errors in the printing, the offering or the administration of the contest or in the announcement of a prize.
