Add a little "holiday spirit" to your egg nog this year...

It's no secret that the holidays can be both the happiest and most stressful time of the year. If you're family is anything like mine, then you know that sometimes there's more stress than happy. Dontcha' just wish there was a little something extra to get the happy goin' and put the stress on hold? Well luckily for you, we, like many others have successfully found that extra "holiday spirit" to turn that SCARY Christmas into a MERRY Christmas. So, here it is, my gift to you....

What you're gonna need-

1 cup heavy whipping cream

2 tablespoons of maple syrup

1/4 cup rye whiskey (psh, only if you're a pansy)

6 tablespoons of hot water

2 tablespoons of ginger liqueur

freshly grated nutmeg

What ya' wanna do-

  1. Beat heavy cream and maple syrup with an electric mixer at medium speed 2 minutes or until consistency of softened butter. Cover and chill 1 to 24 hours. Pour rye whiskey, hot water, and ginger liqueur into a 6-oz. heatproof cup. Top with about 1/4 cup maple-cream mixture and freshly grated nutmeg.

What you're gonna need-

2 tablespoons of ginger liqueur

2 tablespoons of vanilla liqueur

1 1/2 tablespoons of coffee flavored rum

1 tablespoon honey

2 teaspoons whipped cream

1 cup ice

crushed gingersnaps

What ya' wanna do-

  1. Stir together 2 Tbsp. ginger liqueur, vanilla-citrus liqueur, coffee-flavored rum, honey, and whipping cream in a cocktail shaker. Add ice cubes; cover with lid, and shake vigorously until thoroughly chilled (about 30 seconds). Strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish, if desired.

What you're gonna need:

1 cup of Southern Comfort

4 cups of eggnog

What ya' wanna do-

Mix Southern Comfort and eggnog in a larg container, dust with nutmeg on top.

What you're gonna need-

12 full-sized candy canes

1 bottle of vodka (get the good stuff, you know you want to...)

What ya' wanna do-Crush candy canes into a fine powder or until there are small rock sized pieces (finally an opportunity to put your 'Breaking Bad' knowledge to the test.) Use a funnel or tube to pour the crushed up candy cane pieces into the bottle of vodka. Shake the bottle of vodka until the crushed candy is well distributed throughout the bottle, then chill and allow the candy cane pieces to dissolve into the vodka.

So there it is folks, a little gift from us at 98KUPD to you! ...AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT!

And Remember Please Drink Responsibly.
