It has been a hard time for any Alaskan Slayer fans lately due to the death of guitarist Jeff Hannerman and drummer Dave Lombardo leaving the group. Well now the iconic thrash metal band Slayer has had to cancel their October 22nd stop in Alaska due to logistical problems. While this would not surprise anyone who owns a map, it is a shame to see that the band will not be able to make it because this was their first scheduled Alaskan performance in 17 years.
The band has gone on record saying, “Slayer was really looking forward to playing in Alaska on this tour,...but they ran into trucking and air freighting logistical issues. They hope to get up there in the new year. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and look forward to your continued patronage.”
Slayer will now be starting their tour in Las Vegas on October 25th.
