Pantera week day #4 on the 3rd shift..... R.I.P. Dime

I will keep this short and sweet. We all know about the tragedy that happened on this day at the Alrosa Villa in Columbus Ohio. The metal world lost a true legend one of the greats of my generation. I had the honor and I do mean honor of meeting Dime many times backstage at numerous Pantera concerts always the first guy out to meet the fans and the last one to leave, while the rest of the band were getting back on the bus Dime was there taking pictures and sharing his beer with fans till the tour manager practically had to drag him back on the bus.

The last time I ran into him was at a strip club in Scottsdale (he was here on buisness) Dime was running around with a fist full of money paying the DJ to play tons of Van Halen hell I must have heard the entire DLR era Van Halen catalog that night...... I was standing at the bar bullshiting with a friend he comes running up not knowing me yelling "There is nothing better then Van Halen!" he then starts asking me and my buddy if we liked Van Halen and I said only DLR era Van Halen he slaps high five with me and tells me that we are doing shots of Crown in honor of VH. How about that I actually did shots of Crown with Dime..... Maybe thats the reason when ever I sign off on Friday morning's that you always hear me saying I got a bottle of Crown waiting for me at home.......

Anyway a month or so latter he was gone but not forgotten!

This morning's sideshow is dedicated to Dime and the rest who lost there lives on this day in 2004. Remeber we are not here to mourn but to celebrate!
