98KUPD’S OFFICIAL HALLOWEEN HAUNT
RETURNS AND SICKER THAN EVER.
OPEN THIS FRIDAY
THRU NOVEMBER 5TH
5 KILLER EXPERIENCES TO CHECK OUT:
Rumors swirl around one family living in what was once Phoenix, Arizona, with locals claiming that they have made a deal with a madman, who some call the devil himself. In exchange for sparing their lives, the Slidell family has agreed to herd and slaughter fellow humans to supply this nameless soul reaper, with the flesh he craves. Word has it that the screams and gurgling heard amidst the roars of chainsaws at Slidell Family Slaughterhouse are actually from human livestock. Sitting atop a mass grave of badly decomposing “leftovers,” an unanticipated side effect has made matters worse, the Slaughterhouse has become a feeding ground each night as the local Undead are drawn to the thick stench of rotting flesh. 2). UNDEAD
It started with a flash in the sky and a loud crash. What looked like a comet was, in fact, an alien craft crash landing in the cemetery. The aliens slowly came out of the wreckage, only to be slaughtered by the soldiers who came to investigate. What the soldiers didn’t know as they dragged the bodies away to their Bunker, was that the blood from the aliens would seep through the ground and disturb the corpses, waking them from their peaceful resting place. Now the Undead walk among us, terrorizing anyone and everyone in their path.
3). THE BUNKER INVASION
The battle for survival starts here! After the slaughter of their predecessors at the cemetery crash, aliens have invaded, seeking revenge for their fallen comrades & the experiments that are being performed on them. Listen to the soldiers and follow their lead as they navigate you underground, through the experimentation labs and the alien wreckage. You have to make it through The Bunker to find the safe zone. If you stagger or stumble , you will get left behind and you could become the next object of experimentation.
4). MOUTH OF MADNESS
Up is down, left is right, and everything is scary funny. This is Tremmors & Flinch’s Mouth of Madness. You’ve never been to a clown house like this. There’s much more than just painted faces and red noses waiting for you in this hidden hotspot of mayhem and this time, the jokes just might cost you your life – or at least a limb. With a clown around every corner waiting to make you laugh in fear, you’ll be running to escape the madness in no time..
5). LEGENDS GOATMAN
The Goatman is a mythical legend of a half man half goat that terrorizes locations across the United States. Extremely territorial and ferocious, he does not welcome intruders into his domain… and you’ve found yourself right in the middle of it! He is thought to be a shapeshifter, taking on many forms, he fiercely protects his area and punishes all those who enter. The blood of the souls he takes makes him stronger and only fuels his fire to ravish more. He has inspired both fear and fascination for decades, so much so that he has attracted a group of cult-like followers who carry on the Legend and assist him in all of his fateful endeavors.
6). THE HAUNTED HAYRIDE
New for fall 2016 is Phoenix’s only haunted hayride! Nestled among 10-acres of corn, this attraction provides guests with the sounds and smells of autumn air from (what should be) the safety of specially-designed trailers meant to protect them from terrifying legendary creatures called Wendigo– impossibly thin, evil spirits of Native American legend with an intense craving for human flesh. Building this hayride may have disturbed Wendigo burial grounds and, some experts suggest, created an atmosphere sure to create a frightening experience for guests hoping to enjoy a nighttime ride through the cornfields.
When creators of Fear Farm decided to add a haunted hayride to their already bone-chilling attractions, they had no idea construction crews would unearth evidence of long-rumored half-humans dating back hundreds of years. The crews discounted their findings as animal remains and went forward with excavation and construction, even growing corn atop what must have been acres of burial grounds. That was a mistake. Folklore findings from the area later suggested they were bones of Wendigo—impossibly thin, evil creatures of Native American legend with an intense craving for human flesh, and disturbing their burial grounds, some experts suggest, reawakened the evil spirits. Research identifies Wendigo as humanlike, but appearing in the color of death and smelling strongly of decay or decomposition. They were known to possess humans and turn them into cannibals.
Since the completion of construction, volunteers and crews have reported unusual sightings and deep, guttural cries coming from the corn field at night, threatening progress on the new hayride. However, at Fear Farm, we understand that the show must go on. We will open as planned and conduct more research in the off-season.
