UCrew Update

Drop off your pants! Or drop your pants, if you’re into that…

This year we are collecting new and gently used pants for former service men and women in need. If you have some pants in your closet you never wear we know how to put them to good use. This is your chance to empty out that closet and make a difference in someone’s life!

G.I. Jeans is working in partnership with Arizona Veteran’s Standdown Alliance, which hosts an annual event that helps homeless veterans here in Phoenix.
Learn more about Arizona Veteran’s Standdown Alliance here.

Thursday, February 9th & Friday, February 10th
Veterans Memorial Coliseum
at the Arizona State Fairgrounds
1826 W. McDowell Road, Phoenix, AZ 85007

StandDown events are open to ALL Veterans in the local area
who are in need of the following resources:

VA benefits assistance; medical & mental health services; housing assistance; Maricopa County/city municipal courts; MVD-ID’s & driver licenses; social security information; substance abuse counseling & referrals; DES employment & benefits assistance; legal aid assistance; meals, clothing, showers, haircuts, dental & vision; sleeping areas for men, women, and families; storage for personal items; and pet care (all domestic animals welcome).

The newly formed Arizona Veterans’s StandDown Alliance, which supports all eight annual StandDown’s throughout the state under the 501c3 of the Arizona Coalition to End Homelessness, relies heavily on contributions from the public to support over 2,500 veterans annually.  While the primary goal is to help homeless veterans access resources, including housing, its secondary goal is to bring community and service providers together in a collaborative format to build relationships throughout the year to benefit homeless and at risk veterans.

You can drop your pants at 98KUPD, or any KUPD van stop!

Start the New Year off right by dropping your pants!
