KILLSWITCH ENGAGE: New Single 'In Due Time' Available For Streaming

The return of Jesse Leach to Killswitch Engage kindled a firestorm of people welcoming him back into the fold. They have since recorded a brand new album called Disarm The Descent which will be released on April 2nd. this year. A new track from the forthcoming album had been leaked late last night on YouTube, but had since been taken down due to copyright protection and a request from the label.

Since record labels are finally realize that this thing called “The Internet” has caught on and seems to be quite useful, they decided to release an official video for the brand new Killswitch Engage song.

If you actually read this far without starting the song already I am thoroughly impressed with your patience. I know the rest of you already listened to the song three or four times before reading…I would have.

We are in in the woods because it is a metaphor for being lost, but now we are “found” again because we have Jesse back and he is killing it. Also there is something on the ground only Jesse acknowledges. Adam dislikes his shirt, but is trying to fake it. I think it looks nice. It is an extremely catchy song and opens up with rip roaring vocals from Jesse that we have all missed for a long time. His melodic vocals kick in with a Windex clean sheen that I have always admired.

It is a difficult balancing act to mix screaming and clean vocals without stopping the flow of the song and make you kink your neck with a, “What the f**k?” Killswitch Engage is one of the few bands that can make it sound how it is intended…awesome. The song is a little anthem rock sounding and I am actually using that in a positive description.

In Due Time is catchy, fist pumping music that can make you drive a little faster than you want or just sing along without inhibition. I look forward to the rest of the album and hope it only builds on this song to mark a great comeback from a band that had fallen down. They really should have titled the new album The Phoenix.
