Devin Townsend Project – Epicloud

Definitely a trip that most people would not expect from Devin and if you are expecting something that is heavy and in your face you will be disappointed.  Epicloud is all about a journey of musical styles and senses.  There are a few songs that have a heavier side to them but the most surprisingly aspect of the new album is how approachable it is.  Epicloud is, in Devin’s own words, kinda poppy and commercial.  There are actually songs you can envision on the radio and not on a metal show.  If you are open to all types of music and won’t vilify him because it is not Strapping than you will enjoy this album.
