Pick of the Week:  Dew Scented – Icarus

Extremely thrashing metal with a tendency to make you speed in your vehicle and randomly start a fight with a complete stranger.  I think that says most of what this album from Dew Scented makes you experience when letting it encroach your cochlea.  Definitely an album that can help you amp up to whatever high energy event you wish to pursue.  Icarus has fast and persistent drumming mixed with dirty, thrashy guitar riffs and infectious vocals.  The album also has really great hard pumping solos that make you want to run a mile against Usain Bolt. It does sound like some of their previous albums but when you have a killer sound that works and doesn’t get tedious or boring there is no reason to change in my opinion.
