A Velvet Revolver Reunion? Not So Fast Sally!

In a recent interview with RollingStone.com Stone Temple Pilots vocalist Scott Weiland was asked if he would consider a reunion with Velvet Revolver, Weiland said, "Yeah, I definitely would, some time. Velvet Revolver reunited back in January for a one-off performance and rumors about a possible reunion have been gathering steam.

But in a recent interview with the Orlando Sentinel, Slash said about his new band, "It's non-confrontational, non-dramatic. I've never been in a situation like that where there's no reason to have an issue about anything. I haven't had this much fun in a band situation since GUNS started." Slash also added, "It's different when you're dealing with people who aren't looking to cause problems, who aren't so self-centered and screwed up that everything has to be a battle," Slash continued. "I'm not saying that about any of the bands I've been in, per se. Rock and roll tends to breed a lot of idiosyncratic stuff, but I've been around to the point now that I don't have time for that."

It sounds like Slash is done with divas like Axl and Weiland, and is content with his new band featuring mild mannered front-man Myles Kennedy. Who can blame him? As much as we would love a Gn’R reunion and tour, it’s probably never going to happen. A Velvet Revolver reunion at this point is about as exciting as taking your cousin to the prom. To be honest with you, I’d rather see the reunited.

Slash’s second solo album, "Apocalyptic Love", will be released on May 22. I was a big fan of Slash’s first solo record which featured great songs with Ozzy (Crucify the Dead) and M. Shadows of Avenged Sevenfold (Nothing to Say). No guest vocalists on the new album, it’s all Myles Kennedy and if the first single, “You’re a Lie” is any indication, I’ll love this one too.

Getting back together with Weiland for a Velvet Revolver reboot seems to make as much sense as the guy who gets back together with his crazy ex-wife, only to find out that, “this b***h is still crazy!”

What do U guys think?

Do you want see a Weiland fronted Velvet Revolver or a new guy? Should Velvet Revolver stay dead? Should Slash open an eBay store and sell his priceless collection of top hats?

Let us know, blog below!
