The History Of Corpse Paint

Black metal bands have been using corpse paint for a long time now, since the 1960's, and it has evolved from rock to metal to punk genres.  Every band has their own style of corpse paint using mainly black and white paint only while red is sometimes mixed in for blood.  

Some bands have actually stopped using corpse paint due its trendiness.  Emperor and Satyricon are a few of the bands that have stopped using corpse paint because of this saying that it has lost its initial meaning of looking like a corpse or a demon. made a very cool and fairly accurate history of corpse paint in a small video.  The ending was unexpected but hilarious.  Check it out below:
