Television is getting bigger and bigger these days, and with tons of movie stars heading to the smaller screen, it would only be a matter of time before other celebrities started making the migration as well. Luckily one of them is the talented Marilyn Manson, who recently worked with composer Tyler Bates for the opening music for the new series “Salem” which premiered on WGN just this past Sunday. This is not Manson’s first step into television thanks to his musical additions to the FX series “Sons of Anarchy”, along with his upcoming appearance on the show in the next season.
The new single, “Cupid Carries a Gun” is set to appear on Manson’s new album, but he was proud to be a part of the new series, and instead will have the song show up as the opening sequence for Salem starting with the second episode debuting on Sunday, April 27th.
I myself have not checked out this series, but if you are a fan of the dark and the macabre, or even a fan of “Supernatural” or the recent season of “American Horror Story”, this show definitely seems to be in the same camp.
