* This is a Rocky Point Cantina Contest


Rules: (non-negotiable)

This is a "LOCAL BAND COMPETITION" so we will not be dealing w/ any managers, parents, record companies, etc. Bands will get 100 tickets that are $10 each. The split is 60/40 (Rocky Point Cantina gets $6, bands get $4). If any tickets are lost bands are responsible for them, NO EXCEPTIONS.....

The Dates are as follow Aug 25, 31 Sept 7& 14, with the finals on Sept 21. The contest is going to be held at the Rocky Point Cantina in Tempe, AZ. The top 6 drawing bands of all 4 weeks (which means there is "NOT" a winner every night) advance to the finals on Sept 21. During the finals there will be 4 or 5 judges.  Rocky Point Cantina and KUPD will NOT be judges, all judges will have a tally sheet w 4 categories worth 5 points each, which is a total of 20 points each. If a band makes it to the finals, they will still need to sell tickets in the finals, and crowd response is going to be one of the 4 categories.

Fine print.....bands will not be judged by how many tickets are sold, they will be by how many people come thru the front door..(example if a band sells 100 pre-sale tickets and 50 people come through the door giving with the tickets and 5 people pay at the door that band’s number is 55). All tickets are going to be marked so there is no confliction.

1. You will not be able to play any other show 2 weeks prior you your selected date (which Rocky Point Cantina will pick, bands are not allowed to pick their date)

3. There are No Banners onstage
