98 KUPD continues to support our communities charitable services and people in need. With that, the Big Red Radio has established 'UBay' on the World Wide Web. Every so often KUPD will list items for public bid with ALL the proceeds going directly to the selected organization(s).
WHAT'S IT ALL ABOUT ?
Bid as often as you like but please don't spike the system, only serious bids please. All bids will be verified. The first bid in and verified holds the said price for that item. Placing a competing bid at the last minute will most likely not be received in time if you play the last minute game. All participants/bids must comply with the standard rules. All items are "As Is" and are intended for private/personal appreciation and not intended for re-sale. NO CERTIFICATES OF AUTHENTICITY WILL BE PROVIDED. KUPD is not responsible for complications that arise from internet service providers, electronic transmissions and/or receipt of your bids via such means.
Payments can only be made via cashiers check or money order to the RECEIVING CHARITY, NOT KUPD. Sorry no credit cards, company checks, personal checks or cash. (We need to get the funds to the organization right away.)
Being a flake and not following through on your bid will place you on a 6 months no bid list and subject you to be publicly flogged, (well maybe not the last part but you would deserve it). THIS YEARS AUCTION RUNS THROUGH 5PM ON DECEMBER 19TH.

Our beneficiary again this year is the Childrens Crisis Center. The Center is committed to preventing child abuse and neglect— the emergency shelter and other programs provide aid and comfort to over 11,800 children. Click here to learn more about them.

2006 - FAMILIES IN CRISIS
2006 earnings went to 'Families In Crisis', an organization here in the Valley that assists with poverish families during the holidays with essentials and gifts. More info at www.azfamiliesincrisis.org.
2005 - AMERICAN STROKE ASSOCIATION
2005 earning went to Team KUPD / Rock N Roll Marathon as part of the on-going research for the American Stroke Association.
2004 - EAST VALLEY MILITARY SUPPORT GROUP
2004 earnings went to the East Valley Military Support Group to help sending care packages to friends and family serving in the military overseas plus help pay for postage.
