So here I am alone at the radio station the night before Thanksgiving. When you have this much time on your hands, you start to really think about things--ridiculous things.
Over the years, I have spent plenty of holidays alone in the studio with my own thoughts. I can only imagine what prisoners go through when they are left to their own thoughts while being in the hole. The only difference is that I get to listen to music, surf the internet, look at pictures (of naked women) and think things like this...
"I hope that the next time Slipknot comes out with an album, their first video single is brutal. I hope that it's filled with lots of scary masks, blood, maggots, intestines and cute rubber duckies."
Why would I think of something so ridiculous? That's exactly it!!! It's a ridiculous thought that I couldn't get out of my head for the majority of the afternoon while everyone was baking pumpkin pies and stuffing turkeys. But the f*cked thing of it is, I really do want to see a ridiculously violent and humorous Slipknot video that is filled with this dichotomy of violence and unicorns. Why?
Why not? Because it's f*cked up, that's why! It makes absolutely NO SENSE and this is what I'm left with when I spend the night before Thanksgiving working at the radio station!
I know you all can't wait to see what I'm thinking when everyone goes on vacation for Christmas!!
