Every year, all of us down at the radio station sit back and watch the entire city turn upside-down for nearly 12 hours while the poor and unfortunate souls scour the city to get their hands on an Easter Keg that could possibly be worth $5,000. I can't tell you how amusing it is to sit back and listen to Holmberg dole out these ever-so-valuable hints only to have bystanders report of scraps in the parking lots of Walmarts.
Leading up to the Keg Hunt, we always get hammered with questions about keg rules and locations. Well, I'm going to answer a few here so you're in the loop with a few things.
Do I have to be 21 in order to play?
Yes, of course you do.
Are the kegs filled with beer?
Do you really think our lazy asses would be willing to carry full kegs up the sides of mountains. Of course not!
How many kegs are you going to deliver?
If I have to answer this question, you may want to seek shelter from the rest who will think you don't deserve a keg.
Are there going to be any kegs near Mesa/Glendale/Peoria/Tempe/Downtown Phoenix/North Phoenix/?
YES. In fact, they will be all over the city and in the outlying areas too. Casa Grande? Maybe. Prescott? Is that really considered Phoenix?
Can you just drop one off at my house?
How cool would that be? No.
What if more than one person is waiting for you when you drop off your keg?
There's a likely case that this won't happen with the other guys. In my case, I'm just HANDING my kegs out to the first person who doesn't scratch my car, molest me, or cause any bodily harm to anyone in the vicinity. First come first serve. :)
Last night you gave a hint that you'd be hiding a keg at a QT location. There are a million QTs in the city! That's a crappy hint! Which QT is it?
I'd go to the extent of saying that many of you aren't too bright when it comes to hints, so I'll practically give you the location. Just search the closest QTs near the radio station. There aren't that many.
What time does the keg hunt start?
It "officially" starts when Holmberg cracks the mic. So, around the normal time he gets on the air.
**(UPDATED)** How do I know the locations of YOUR tweets, Shan Man?
When you get on twitter, click on one of my specific tweets from last night. Either click on "DETAILS" or the timestamp and that should be able to pull up the tagged tweet with location.
So those are pretty much the questions that we get asked this time of year. It's going to be up to you whether there is a lucky streak that is in your favor.
If you have any other questions, feel free to post them here on the website and we'll get back to you! :)
