Earlier this week I was asked by our Production Director to send some audio files to him that contained my favorite memories of 2011. When I asked him if they had to be specific memories that referenced the radio station, he said that it wouldn’t be a bad idea, but he wanted my favorite memories—which could be from any point in the year.
I really had to sit down and think this one through because there were a ton of events that I could think of, but I didn’t want to choose any events that were real downers. It seemed that 2011 was filled with a lot of those…
Think about it! The year started off with major events like the Tucson Shootings, Japanese Earthquakes and tsunamis, Charlie Sheen’s media meltdown along with a slurry of other events that I can’t think of off the top of my head. Personally, I have one specific memory that I want to share, but you’ll have to hear it on the radio station on New Year’s Eve. I’m pretty sure that there are quite a few people out there who know which show I’m talking about if you went to any of the 98 KUPD concerts this year.
