Tool Gives Fans a Premie

Tool recently sent out a newsletter saying that they had been working on new material over the Thanksgiving holiday. Naturally, this gave each Tool fan a massive boner for new music since the band hasn't released anything since 2006.  Well, since that newsletter was released, it has been UPDATED to let their fans know that recording DID take place over the Thanksgiving holiday, but it was only for Danny Carey's side project, Volto!  The band  has assured their fans that they are working on brand new material and will keep everyone abreast of any recording in the future.  

Frontman, Maynard James Keenan, has recently said in interviews there is a lot of "jamming" going on, "but there's no actual recording going on until it's time to record." In the meantime, Keenan is out promoting the latest Puscifer album, "Conditions of My Parole".
