I'm always humbled when ABC 15's Rebecca Thomas asks me to appear on her show, ABC 15 NOW! Sometimes I wonder to myself, "Why do these guys care what some night time DJ thinks about some of the hot topics going on in the world?" I suppose it's even more humbling that she and her staff find what I have to say to be conversation-worthy.
Today, one of the topics they chose applied to my career prior to working nights here at KUPD. You'll find that there are points in this segment that I appeared frustrated because of what happened in this poor kid's--and parent's--situation. While I understand that school administrators bend the rules in certain circumstances, I still believe that school policies should be applied 100% of the time regardless of the incident. After all, life doesn't give you a "pass" when it comes to losing your house or having your car repossessed if you don't follow the rules.
