Video: Dave Mustaine Can Give You Chills

On Friday night, I happened to be strolling through my Netflix account and came across the Megadeth movie/documentary/concert of That One Night that was filmed in Argentina.  I could recollect that I actually owned this DVD at home but have never had a chance to watch it.

When I had decided to start watching the movie I further realized that Megadeth performed an unusual song on the DVD that Mustaine wrote for his fans in Buenos Aires.  While I think that Dave appreciates his fans in America, I know he LOVES his fans in Argentina based on this song.  Clearly the fans down there LOVE Mustaine/Megadeth and it's proven throughout the entire performance that the feeling is mutual.

As I digress, I watched him sing this song and further realized that I had never seen Dave so appreciative of his fans--especially from this country.  I understand their culture is far different from any crowd here in America, but just watching him perform-- and respond to a crowd that was clearly into him being there--gave me chills.

I know Mustaine can be kind of a blowhard at times, but I'm not afraid to say that anyone could have felt the soul he put into the performance of "Coming Home to Argentina".  For a guy who used to sing about anarchy and the occult, he has certainly come around.

White boy can sing!  Take a look...

**UPDATE: Well, it seems I have been corrected and that's OK!  Listener, Mike Smith, shared a video with me of this song that is originally titled "Coming Home to Arizona" and is found on Warchest.  Throughout all the years of following Megadeth, I suppose my interest wore off after band members changed after Cryptic Writings.  Therefore, Mustaine did NOT write this song for the fans in Argentina, but the lyrical adjustment is still pretty cool.  I still can't believe I had never heard the original!  I'm still gasping in disbelief!**
