Petaluma’s own punk rock band Tsunami Bomb has announced they’re getting the band back together. Well, sorta.
As the band described in it’s Facebook posting earlier today, “We hung out looking at old photos, remembering the songs, and having a great time together. We just realized how much we really missed each other, missed our songs, and missed our band too. We had so much fun putting together this compilation that we thought maybe we should take the logical next step and perform some shows in support of the release.”
While the band intended to perform alongside their original lead singer, Emily Whitehurst (AKA “Agent M”), the female lead singer respectfully declined in order to continue with her current project.
The original lineup (read: the most recent lineup) will consist of Oobliette as co-lead vocalist/keyboardist, Brian Plink on guitar/vocals, Dominic Davi on bass/vocals, and Gabe Lindeman will return to his position as drummer.
Tsunami Bomb‘s reunion announcement comes on the heels of their announcement to release “Trust No One”, a 14 song collection of rare and previously unreleased tracks from the band’s early years. The new album is due out in 2016 on Kung Fu Records.
