Following a few months of teases, Fall Out Boy has confirmed that new music is indeed on the way.

In a letter sent to fans on the band’s mailing list, which was shared by Consequence.net, the “Dance, Dance” outfit shares, “We spent the last year jamming ideas in a tiny room.”

“Can’t wait to share them with you,” they add.

The letter follows an ad spotted in Fall Out Boy’s hometown Chicago Tribute newspaper in November, which teased the upcoming arrival of the group’s eighth studio effort, the follow-up to 2018’s M A N I A. They also launched several mysterious websites and shared a Christmas-themed claymation video ending with a preview of a guitar riff.

“Thanks for always sticking around,” Fall Out Boy’s letter concludes. “Thanks for working the beat.”
