Governors Ball is moving to the fall for 2021.
The festival, which takes place on New York City’s Randall’s Island, has announced it intends to take place this year September 24-26, instead of during its usual June time frame.
‘While there are still question marks and unknowns in the World, rest assured that we are working closely with City and State authorities to ensure that the next Gov Ball will be a safe and amazing experience,” organizers say in a statement. “We’ll be back to our regular June dates starting in 2022.”
Gov Ball 2020, of course, was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The lineup included Tame Impala, Vampire Weekend, Stevie Nicks, Portugal. the Man, Foals, and Of Monsters and Men, among others.
The 2021 lineup announcement is expected to arrive shortly.
