I don’t normally get too goofy about all the different separate Marvel movies that come out, but “Avengers: Endgame” really had me excited. After the perfection that was “Avengers: Infinity War”, I had pretty high expectations for “Avengers: Endgame”.
In preparation for this movie, I, like many, went back and watched a lot of Marvel Cinematic Universe flicks. Not only the Avengers films but also the other Marvel favorites… Guardians of the Galaxy, Iron Man, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Captain America: Civil War, Thor: Ragnarok, Ant-Man and the Wasp, Dr. Strange, Black Panther, and even Captain Marvel. They all have their part to play in this final piece of the MCU puzzle. I wanted to make certain that I was every bit ready to experience the movie and understand every angle of the story as it was playing out before me.
So many questions racing through my head… How will the Avengers right everything that was wronged? Will they bring back Gamora? How does Ant-Man get out of the Quantum Realm? Who saves Tony Stark from outer space? Does Captain Marvel really stand a chance against Thanos? Will Thor get a second chance with Stormbreaker and Thanos’ face?
“Avengers: Endgame” lived up to the hype. I was truly happy with the result. All my questions were finally answered and I also didn’t feel like I left the theater with a brand new set of questions too. They closed this one up nicely. Even more amazing, at over 3 hours…the movie doesn’t feel bloated with unnecessary scenes. You get the feeling that this is the way they had to tell the story and it wouldn’t have been as good squeezed into 2 hours.
Sure I had a couple of gripes here and there (I think I do that with any movie I see), but overall I truly enjoyed this long-anticipated finale of epic proportions.
Fantastic acting and great storytelling.
Treat yo’self and go see “Avengers: Endgame”.
