Noel Gallagher has shared a new song called “Council Skies,” the title track off his upcoming High Flying Birds album.
“Council Skies” follows the March premiere of the High Flying Birds song “Dead to the World,” which Noel’s estranged brother and ex-Oasis bandmate, Liam Gallagher, deemed a “beautiful song,” though he also called Noel a “mean spirited little man.” Even compared to that backhanded compliment, Liam’s considerably less enthused about “Council Skies,” which he declares to be “s****.”
You can listen to “Council Skies” for yourself now via digital outlets and watch its accompanying video streaming on YouTube.
Along with “Dead to the World” and the title track, the album Council Skies includes the songs “Pretty Boy” and “Easy Now.” It arrives June 2.
That same day, the High Flying Birds launch a co-headlining U.S. tour with Garbage. Metric will also be on the bill.
