Shinedown‘s upcoming tour with The Pretty Reckless has been in the works for quite awhile.

Speaking with ABC Audio, frontman Brent Smith shares, “I’ve been trying to be able to do a tour with Taylor [Momsen] from The Pretty Reckless for a long time.”

“I’m such a huge fan of The Pretty Reckless,” Smith says. “It’s such a huge honor to be able to have her out with The Pretty Reckless and all the guys, too.”

The tour, which launches Friday in Spokane, Washington, will also feature “Haunted” rocker Diamante on the bill.

“We wanted more of a diversity in the show,” Smith says of the tour’s lineup. “We wanted to work with bands that were fronted by females, that was important to us.”

He adds, “We’re huge fans of both of those artists, so we’re super, super excited about that.”

Shinedown will be previewing their upcoming album Planet Zero on the tour. The follow-up to 2018’s ATTENTION ATTENTION arrives April 22.

The Pretty Reckless, meanwhile, dropped their most recent record, Death By Rock and Roll, in 2021.
